NOTICE

INSTALLATION OF CONSUMER SUPPLIED PARTS NOT OFFERED

THE INSTALLATION OF CONSUMER SUPPLIED PARTS IS NOT OFFERED AS A SERVICE AT THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS. THE INSTALLATION OF CONSUMER SUPPLIED PARTS PRESENTS ISSUES WITH INSURANCE COVERAGE AND WARRANTY POLICY.

LIABILITY

REGARDLESS OF THE ORIGIN OF PARTS, THE PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN THAT INSTALLS THE PART IS HELD LIABLE FOR THE FIT AND FITNESS OF SAID PART. WITH CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS, THE REPAIR SHOP IS NOT ABLE TO ACCURATELY DETERMINE IN A TIMELY FASHION WHETHER THE PART IS OF TYPE THAT WILL WORK WITH THE AUTOMOBILE.DUE TO NUMEROUS VARIATIONS IN MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES AND PLACES OF ORIGIN, AN ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURE QUALITY PART (OR BETTER) IS REQIRED TO BE INSTALLED AS A REPLACEMENT BY LAW IN MANY STATES.

INSURANCE

DUE TO LITIGOUS NATURE OF PROPERTY DEFECT LAW, INSURANCE COMPANIES MAY DESIRE TO RAISE INSURANCE RATES AND PREMIUMS IN AN ATTEMPT TO RECOUP THE COST OF INSURING THE BUSINESS PRACTICES OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOPS THAT PROVIDE THE SERVICE OF INSTALLINH PARTS OF UNKNOWN OR DUBIOUS ORIGIN. NEW AFTERMARKET PARTS WITH A CLEAR CHAIN OF CUSTODY ARE EASIER TO IDENTIFY IN THE EVENT OF INQUIRY.

WARRANTY

AS A BUSINESS, THE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP IS REQUIRED TO HONOR THE STANDARD WARRANTY THAT IS OFFERED TO ALL, REGARDLESS OF THE ORIGIN OR PROVENANCE OF THE PART.WITHOUT A MANUFACTURER WARRANTY TO COVER THE FITNESS OF THE PART BEING INSTALLED, THE SHOP WOULD BE FORCED TO COVER ALL LOSSES OUT OF POCKET REGARDLESS OF THE NATURE OF THE DEFECT.

Note: pricing is per injector (complete, Seals, return line segments and labor, nozzles are not included with this option)

Digital Injector Calibration and Balancing

NOZZLES ARE NOT included in this service, Please refer to nozzle selection options for all inclusive pricing and details.

Cars with high mileage (more than 100,000 miles on OEM nozzles or those with Non-DLC nozzles) will require nozzle replacement due to normal wear. We can at no charge evaluate your injectors and determine their condition and suggest options at that time.

Digital pressure sensing is used to read and and record injector data. The Pressure sensor is certified under ASME B40.7-2005 standards which permits accuracy to +/- 0.5%.  Also due to the high speed cycling of the nozzles the new digital calibration equipment was selected due to its ability to read ALL pressure cycles that occur within a 10 millisecond window! To insure the highest level of accuracy the pressure resolution will be reduced to .068bar meaning extremely accurate pressure readings during all injector opening phases that no analog pressure gauge can display.

Due to the advances in modern injectors starting with the “Two-Spring” nozzle holder (also known as Two-Stage injectors) testing, repair, overhaul, and calibration is not permitted using Analog pump style testers for the reasons stated:

  • Measurement accuracy
  • Dead Space
  • Pressure gauge quality class
  • Link to Bosch “ESI” Document: Analog Tester not to be used

We start out with all injector work by:
-Stripping all rust and corrosion from the nozzle holder
-Disassemble the injectors
-Inspect all the internal injector parts and nozzle components
-Ultrasonic Cleaning of the Nozzle and Needle and associated components
-Resurface as needed any mating surfaces**
-Re-assemble the injectors
-Test cycle of the injector for Ejection, Dispersion and proper Cycling
-Check Set Pressure and adjust as required
-Adjust the flow volumes and set as requested for your specific application
-Test for Balance and Sequencing
-Re-coating of the injector to protect your nozzle holder assemblies
-Installation of new OEM seals
-And, Include new OEM Braided Return Lines rated for RME Biodiesel

**New for 2014, we have invested in state of the art re-surfacing equipment to restore the precision surfaces of the injection system components that exceeds the original tolerances  . Our lapping system can produce flatness measured in light bands and results in surface quality that results in perfect leak free sealing at pressures simply not possible in the system.

DBWLAPPING

DirectINJHS

1 100,000 miles is suggested for all engines with stock performance injectors, Higher performance injectors should be checked every 75,000 miles and Race injectors every 30,000 ideally.

2 Rebuilt injectors are any set of injectors which we rebuilt and have not been opened or modified in any way since we last performed the overhaul of the units. This simply insures that we can perform an accurate assessment of the injectors operation and validation of it’s performance using the data we retain in our database. If the injectors have been modified in any way since we last performed the overhaul, a full calibration will be required due to the additional time required to properly reset the injector and its multiple settings.

In House Digital Flow Validation and Testing

We also offer Digital flow validation. This is used to read and and set every new nozzle that we sell. This is performed on the nozzles prior to installation allowing us to insure that every nozzle performs exactly to specification.

For an additional fee, We can generate a complete report for every nozzle and compare every critical aspect of that nozzle performance. This is the equivalent of a “Dyno” for nozzles. We can evaluate delivery rate, peak delivery volume as well as response to flow at all ends of the flow range.

This new system uses state of the art Flow sensing technology which evaluates all flow characteristics by replicating the flow of the fuel passing thru the nozzle. Long gone are the fill tubes you may have seen, this new generation test bench samples flow rates as often as 400 times per second allowing a complete evaluation of a nozzles performance not previously possible.

This is especially helpful for companies developing a nozzle design or for the performance oriented driver/tuner looking to get the maximum performance from a nozzle combination.
